My friend Valerie took this picture of the place we ate at Thursday night. Because it’s been a while since we’ve been in a small town (living in DC), we had to be creative with our choice for late-night food options. We stopped at a nearby gas station and noticed that this place was OPEN + had BBQ.
I’m from Michigan, so the land of BBQ, Sweet Tea, Bojangles, Sheetz, and Jack In the Box is new territory. Is it common to put cole slaw on pulled pork sandwiches? I cannot say I’ve ever done that before, but I did it twice this weekend while traveling to and from North Carolina for a wedding.
